Our Division of Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, as part of one of the fastest growing Departments of Pediatrics in the country, is pleased to invite applications for the position of Internal Medicine/Pediatrics faculty member. We are located in Greenville, North Carolina, a growing rural city of 85,000 people that is home to East Carolina University and the region’s academic medical center, the Brody School of Medicine and Vidant Medical Center. Greenville is noted for its low cost of living, excellent schools, outstanding performing arts, and abundance of recreational opportunities. Greenville is located a short distance from some of the world’s nicest beaches.

The Brody School of Medicine is a premier medical school which has been ranked in the top five medical schools for producing primary care physicians. Work duties for this position include provision of patient care to adults and children in our Medicine-Pediatrics Outpatient Clinic (Adult and Pediatric Health Center), and teaching and supervision of residents in both the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics and Pediatrics Residency Programs. Opportunities for teaching medical students and performing research are provided. Clinical work on the inpatient medicine and/or pediatric services can be included if desired. Tenure track or fixed term position at the rank/title of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor are available depending on experience and training. Salary is commensurate with rank/title.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have excellent communication skills. Must have a terminal (MD or DO) degree from an appropriately accredited institution. Must be board certified, or eligible to sit for the certifying examination in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. Must be board certified, or eligible to sit for the certifying examination in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in North Carolina.
